Expanding knowledge on the distribution of fungi in the state of Bahia, Brazil

Bovista plumbea var. plumbea, Chlorophyllum hortense, and Panaeolus papilionaceus are reported for the first time to the state of Bahia, Northeast Brazil. This is also the first mention of the genus Chlorophyllum and Panaeolus for the state. Itajahya rosea is a new occurrence for the municipality of Vitória da Conquista. The species were found in an ecotone area between Caatinga and Atlantic Forest with a liana forest phytophysionomy. We provide notes on the geographic distribution, photomicrographs of the identified species and a map of the new occurrences.
